Choosing an inspector requires trust. Recent reviews give prospective clients a clearer picture of how RedFish inspectors communicate, explain findings and deliver reports.
First of all the communication was great, the inspector call beforehand and ask for my concerns and handle those. Very thorough service leaving me with a clear understanding of what I was purchasing. I highly recommend their services.👍
I had a great experience with Redfish Inspections for my home purchase . Gary Parr was thorough, professional, and clearly knows his craft. The report was incredibly detailed — over 30 pages with photos, videos, and clear explanations of every finding, from roof and structural issues down to electrical safety items I never would have caught on my own. He even included a sewer scope with camera footage, which gave me real negotiating power before closing. The report was easy to understand, with each item categorized by severity and practical recommendations on who to call. As a first-time buyer navigating a big decision, this inspection gave me the clarity and confidence I needed. Highly recommend Gary and the Redfish team!
Redfish was fantastic to work with! They were incredibly efficient, thorough, and made the entire inspection process easy. Trey did an excellent job explaining everything in a way that was easy to understand and took the time to answer all of our questions. I highly recommend Redfish and Trey if you’re looking for a detailed and professional home inspection.
I highly recommend this inspector. He was incredibly thorough and spent several hours carefully evaluating every aspect of the home. He identified important issues that could have become very costly, explained his findings clearly, and answered all of my questions with patience and professionalism. His detailed report gave me the confidence to make an informed decision about the purchase. If you're looking for someone who is knowledgeable, meticulous, and truly has your best interests in mind, I wouldn't hesitate to use him again.
I cannot say enough great things about Redfish Home Inspection. From start to finish, the entire process was professional, informative, and stress-free. Julie was absolutely fantastic. She was professional, courteous, and incredibly knowledgeable. She patiently answered my many questions and made sure I understood every step of the process. Her customer service was exceptional and truly set the tone for a positive experience. Inspector Bill S. was equally impressive. His attention to detail was outstanding, and his professionalism and expertise were evident throughout the inspection. He took the time to thoroughly evaluate the property, explain his findings, and answer all of my questions in a way that was easy to understand. His knowledge and commitment to excellence gave me great confidence in the inspection results. Redfish Home Inspection clearly hires only the best of the best. The level of service, professionalism, and expertise provided by both Julie and Bill S. exceeded my expectations. I will absolutely recommend Redfish Home Inspection to my friends and family, and I will not hesitate to use their services again in the future. Thank you again, Julie and Bill S., for such an exceptional experience!
I am very happy with Redfish. Inspector Johnathan was amazing. My wife and I are building our first home and we used Redfish for the inspection. They were extremely detailed and thorough. They used a drone to inspect the roof and a scope to inspect the sewage system. They took the time to explain and walk me through all of her findings. The report that was produced is easy to understand, has pictures and even videos. I couldn’t be happier with their services. Highly recommend.
Buying a house is not without stress and then when you find the one you love, you wonder - what's behind the paint, the wall, is there enough insulation or is the house like a sieve, do the things work like they supposed to, how about the roof, the gutters, the foundation and them critters, we are in Texas after all. Redfish Inspections was recommended by our realtor, whom we truly trust and they did not let us down. Scheduled a next day appointment, our inspector Stephen got in touch to let us know when he will be there and that we are welcome to meet him to discuss his findings. We opted for the Ultra Package to get a good baseline at the beginning of our ownership. We received the detailed report before the end of the same day, grouped by subject and complete with photos, videos and recommendation. There is no way any buyer would have the capacity to complete such a thorough examination without expert help. The report included a general summary of the house then structural systems including roof, gutters, foundation, doors, windows, hardware, fences, next electrical, HVAC, plumbing and appliances - which in our case revealed a leaking dishwasher.
We were very happy with the depth of the inspection, Stephen was extra helpful, explained and answered all our questions - I can highly recommend RedFish Inspection services.
I had a great experience with Redfish Inspections and would highly recommend them.
From the very beginning, Anne was extremely helpful when I called to ask about scheduling and the inspection process. She answered all of my questions, explained the different inspection packages clearly, and never once made me feel pressured to choose a specific option.
Stephen came out to perform the inspection and did an excellent job. He was very thorough and took the time to walk me through what he was seeing while he inspected the home. He explained things clearly and was very patient with the questions I had along the way.
The online inspection report was also very detailed and easy to follow, which made it simple to understand the findings and next steps.
Overall, it was a very professional and smooth experience from start to finish. I would absolutely use Redfish Inspections again and would confidently recommend them to anyone needing a home inspection.
Met with Daniele Thacker for an inspection on a home we’re closing on. I didn’t know much about home inspections or even what questions to ask, but Daniele walked me through everything answering any questions I had & advising me on this or that. Very knowledgeable and professional—highly recommend.
Michael Funches, thank for a detailed inspection. Very professional and know what he is doing. I would recommend him to anyone needing their property inspected.
Five stars for Inspector Robert! Our inspector, Robert Ramirez, was incredibly professional, kind, and knowledgable through the entire inspection process. As a first time home buyer, he helped me understand everything he was looking at and everything going in the report. I probably asked him more questions than he’s gotten in a while, and he answered every one! Would recommend Red Fish and ask for Robert!
They just finished doing a house inspection in a home that I am buying. Their communication is excellent, their inspection was excellent and they were very thorough and professional. I appreciate it. I highly recommend them.
Mr. Bill and Redfish Inspections were fabulous! Easy to contact, easy to work with, competent and honest. Mr. Bill was very thorough and was eager to share his findings with us. He found a few issues that easily make up for the cost of the inspection.
I highly recommend Redfish and Mr. Bill and hope to work with them again.
I am a new realtor and I Red Fish was the first inspections company I worked with on my 1st clients home inspection. I have used them three times already and already looking forward to a career long relationship. Bill has been my go to each time. He explains things extremely well and makes a business meeting feel like a walk with family. I truly appreciate Bill and Red Fish for always coming through with expertise and professionalism!!! I've got about two more lined up this month and Red Fish is already in my speed dial!! Thanks you guys!!
Jose was friendly, wonderful and very informative. My realtor and I booked Redfish due to my realtor having good experiences and they inspect new builds. We booked the Ultra package because we wanted to EVERYTHING. We wanted to see the foundation condition , sewer/sewer line, and lawn irrigation system. The service was fast and the detailed. Jose arrived at 1pm and we received the written report at 5pm ON THE SAME DAY! We will definitely be using Redfish for our 1 year inspection.
We used José Farinacci for our phase 1, phase 2, and closing inspection and could not be more happy! He was wonderful to work with and was very thorough with his inspection! We got a detailed report for each inspection and he truly went above and beyond to make sure our house was built safe and up to code! Couldn’t recommend him and redfish more!
I had a fantastic experience working with Jose. He was extremely thorough, knowledgeable, and professional throughout the entire inspection process. He explained everything clearly, answered all my questions, and provided a detailed report promptly. I truly appreciated his honesty and attention to detail, which gave me great confidence moving forward with my home purchase. I would absolutely recommend him to anyone needing a reliable and experienced home inspector!
I got the Delux package and was happy to hear they had educator discounts. My inspector was Jose and he did an awesome job. I walked through the inspection with him and he clearly explained things he was looking for and any new standards that are in place. I would highly recommend Redfish inspections and will likely use then in the future.
This company was great all around. Easy to schedule, quick to get it done, thorough, and would highly recommend. My inspector was William and he was at the house for 4+ hours making sure he didn’t miss anything. Very happy
The first time I used their services it was great. We had Gary Parr and Keith Jeanes, they were both kind and knowledgeable. They were thorough and we actually used them again recently. It was Gary this time but the service was again great! I definitely recommend their services and will most likely use them again in the future. Great work and great people

Tomball has become one of the fastest-growing communities in northwest Harris County while maintaining its historic Texas charm. Every city has unique construction trends and environmental conditions, and our familiarity with Tomball allows us to provide inspections tailored to the homes commonly found throughout the area.
The Tomball housing market includes historic homes near Old Town Tomball, established residential neighborhoods, luxury custom homes, master-planned communities, new construction developments, acreage properties, investment homes and commercial buildings.
Because these properties vary greatly in age, construction quality and maintenance history, a professional inspection provides valuable information before completing a real estate transaction. You receive an organized digital report you can discuss with your real estate professional, builder, contractor or other qualified specialist.
Buying a home can feel like entering issue number one of a new comic series. Downtown is charming, the yard is shaded and then somebody notices the second HVAC unit humming in a register only dogs appreciate. RedFish helps replace guesswork with organized information.
TREC licensed, local experience
We understand the construction styles, environmental conditions and common maintenance concerns found throughout Tomball. Nearby service areas include Pinehurst, Stagecoach, Magnolia, Hockley, Cypress, Klein, Spring, Decker Prairie, Plantersville, The Woodlands, Rosehill and Waller.
A useful report should make findings easier to understand—not leave the client decoding mysterious symbols in the Batcave. RedFish promotes same-day digital reporting with photographs, organized findings and practical explanations.
Residential, luxury, ranch and commercial options
The inspection scope can be matched to the property. RedFish offers residential and luxury home inspections, farm and ranch inspections, commercial inspections for offices, retail, restaurants, medical offices and warehouses, new construction and builder warranty services, plus thermal imaging.
Whether you're purchasing your first home, investing in commercial property, buying a luxury residence, relocating to an acreage property or preparing to sell, technical language should be translated into ordinary language: what was observed, why it matters and whether repair, monitoring or specialist evaluation may be appropriate.
RedFish Inspections provides comprehensive inspection services for homeowners, buyers, sellers, investors and commercial property owners throughout Tomball. The right inspection depends on the property's age, design, condition and intended use.

Residential and buyer inspections
Comprehensive visual inspections of accessible roofing, structural, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, attic, insulation, interior, exterior and built-in appliances in accordance with TREC Standards of Practice.
A buyer inspection helps purchasers better understand the property's condition before closing. The exact scope is governed by the inspection agreement, property access and applicable standards.
The report can help buyers distinguish between routine maintenance, damaged components and conditions that may require prompt professional attention.
Seller pre-listing inspections
A pre-listing inspection helps homeowners identify observable conditions before placing their property on the market.
The seller may use the information to gather repair estimates, complete selected maintenance or prepare documentation. A seller inspection does not replace disclosure obligations or prevent a buyer from ordering another inspection.
New construction inspections
Tomball continues to experience tremendous residential growth in communities such as Woodtrace, Amira, Rosehill Reserve, Lakes at Creekside, Northpointe, Raburn Reserve, Sorella and Inverness Estates. Independent inspections during construction and before warranty expiration help identify observable installation deficiencies early.
A pre-drywall inspection provides an opportunity to observe certain framing, plumbing, electrical and mechanical components before wall coverings conceal them. A final inspection examines the substantially completed home. The inspector does not replace municipal inspections or the builder's quality-control process.

Luxury home inspections
Designed for executive homes with multiple HVAC systems, premium finishes, outdoor living areas, pools, smart-home technology and other specialty features.
Depending on the agreed scope of work, inspections may evaluate accessible multiple electrical panels, whole-home generators, outdoor kitchens, built-in grills, swimming pools and spas, irrigation systems and detached garages.
These additional systems help provide buyers with a more complete understanding of the property's condition.
Farm, ranch and commercial property inspections
Many Tomball-area homes sit on larger lots with features not commonly found in suburban neighborhoods, and Tomball has also become a major commercial destination serving northwest Harris County. Scopes should be customized before the appointment, and optional inspections for accessible well and septic systems are available when requested.
The precise inspection scope depends on the service agreement and property conditions. A typical home inspection may address the following accessible systems.
System or area
Typical observations
Why it matters
Foundation and structure
Visible cracking, movement and damaged components
Clay soil movement can affect safety and repair planning
Roof and attic
Coverings, flashing, framing, insulation and ventilation
Heat, hail and mature trees may contribute to moisture damage
Electrical
Panels, breakers, receptacles, switches and accessible wiring
Systems reflect the home's age and past renovations
Plumbing
Supply piping, drain and waste piping, fixtures and water heaters
Housing inventory spans many decades of materials
HVAC
Cooling, heating, condensate drainage and visible ductwork
Larger homes frequently include multiple systems
Interior
Walls, ceilings, floors, doors and windows
Interior materials may reveal movement or moisture
Exterior and site
Cladding, trim, grading, gutters and drainage
Site drainage helps move water away from the foundation
Built-in appliances
Basic operation of included equipment
Appliance concerns can affect move-in planning
The inspection is a visual evaluation of accessible conditions at the time of service. Pool and spa, well, septic, sewer scope and other specialty services are optional add-ons. Concealed, inaccessible and intermittent conditions may not be discovered.
Tomball features a diverse housing market that includes historic homes, established neighborhoods, luxury custom residences, master-planned communities and acreage properties. Because homes vary widely in age, construction style and maintenance history, every inspection is unique. While each property has its own characteristics, our inspectors commonly evaluate the following conditions.
Foundation movement
Tomball is built on expansive clay soils that naturally expand during wet weather and contract during dry periods. Inspectors evaluate accessible structural components for drywall cracks, brick veneer separation, uneven floors, sticking doors and windows, separation around trim and visible foundation cracking. When appropriate, we recommend a qualified structural engineer.
Roofing systems and storm exposure
Tomball experiences prolonged summer heat, heavy rainfall, hail and strong thunderstorms throughout the year. Inspectors visually evaluate accessible roofing materials for missing or damaged shingles, flashing deficiencies, roof penetrations, general wear, drainage concerns and visible storm-related damage.
Drainage and moisture management
Proper drainage is essential throughout Tomball due to Southeast Texas' climate and expansive soils. Inspectors observe visible conditions including site grading, surface drainage, standing water, gutter performance, downspout discharge and moisture around the foundation.
HVAC systems
Heating and cooling systems in Tomball work hard throughout the year because of the region's hot, humid climate. The inspection includes accessible air conditioning equipment, heating systems, air handlers, condensate drainage, thermostat operation and visible ductwork. Larger homes frequently include multiple HVAC systems evaluated within the agreed scope.
Plumbing systems
Tomball's housing inventory spans many decades, resulting in a variety of plumbing materials and system configurations. Inspectors evaluate accessible water supply piping, drain and waste piping, water heaters, plumbing fixtures, functional drainage and visible leaks.
Luxury homes and outdoor living
Many executive homes in Tomball feature upgraded systems and extensive outdoor amenities. Depending on the agreed scope, we may evaluate accessible multiple electrical panels, whole-home generators, outdoor kitchens, built-in grills, swimming pools and spas, irrigation systems, smart-home technology and detached garages.
Established and historic homes
Downtown Tomball and surrounding neighborhoods include homes built across several decades. Older homes may feature updated electrical systems, plumbing renovations, HVAC replacements, roofing upgrades, foundation repairs and home additions. Our inspections evaluate accessible systems while helping buyers understand the property's overall condition.
Many Tomball-area homes sit on larger lots and often include detached workshops, barns, horse facilities, RV storage, equipment buildings, private wells and septic systems. Optional inspections for accessible well and septic systems are available when requested.
Provide the address, approximate size, age, lot size, property type and transaction deadline. Also identify pools and spas, multiple HVAC systems, outdoor kitchens, detached workshops, barns, private wells, septic systems, commercial spaces or new construction phases.
Attend when practical
Buyers are encouraged to attend the final walkthrough so we can explain significant observations, answer questions and discuss routine home maintenance. The inspector still needs adequate space and concentration to complete the evaluation.
Review the full report
Do not rely only on the summary. Read the complete report, including limitations, photographs and recommendations. The report may recommend further evaluation by a structural engineer, electrician, plumber, HVAC contractor, roofer, pool professional, well or septic professional, pest professional or other qualified specialist.
Discuss decisions with the right professional
An inspector explains the property conditions observed. Your real estate professional or attorney should advise you about contract deadlines, negotiations and available options.
